In-House Pre-Clinical Study:

This study shows that the cell counts of the bad bacteria and fungi in the faeces of healthy laboratory rats dropped within 24 hours after oral administration of Plantact™, whereas the growth of the good lactic acid bacteria was promoted. Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp are among the most common enteropathogenic bacteria that cause acute gastroenteritis and diarrhea in cats and dogs. The clinical signs can range in severity from a mild self-limiting diarrhea to a potentially fatal acute hemorrhagic diarrheal syndrome (AHDS). Plantact™ can inhibit 92.7% of Salmonella spp colonies and 93.1% of E.coli.
